I am a sneakerhead episode 27 - @Marcusstrube

My name is Marcus Strube and I'm from a little village in the East of Germany near Berlin - born and raised.

Wearing Brand-Sneakers was the most unimportant thing in my childhood. I can remember that my Mum had to force me to buy me new ones, because I had only 2 pairs,as dirty as kids shoes have to be. I was never into Jordans or Air Max or something like that.
This whole "Sneakergame" didn't got me until I was about 15-16 years old. All started, I would say accidentally haha, with checkin a pair of Asics Gel Lyte III "Black/Tan" on Amazon because it was shown in my "You may like..." feed. I had no clue about the model, materials or anything like that, but the colour way made me fall in love with them. At this time I thought 109,99€ for a pair of sneakers were unreal and which stupid person would pay that much...nowadays I know that 110€ for a pair of shoes that you really want is a steal (think anybody here will agree with me). Later then, checking Sneakergroups on Facebook or pics on Instagram, talking to friends and checking my local Sneakerstores made me curious.
So I've learned a lot about Sneakers of different Brands, started with Asics and Nike. At this Time the Asics Gel Lyte III was my favorite Model - until today.
I was so happy about my 6 Pair - Collection haha.

Today I own more than 40 Sneakers, most of them are Asics or Nike Air Max 1, which is created by Tinker Hatfield.
I wear all of my kicks and matching my Outfits with them.
The reason why I do enjoy wearing Sneakers so much, is that there is such a big variation and that nearly every one of them got their own story.
Besides they are colourful and the comfort is a plus as well...who does not love them, seriously?

My favorite pair of all time is the Ronnie Fieg x Asics Gel Lyte III ECP "Miami Dolphins" from 2013.
The colour way, the materials and the comfort convinced me from the first moment. Besides that I got my really own story with them.
I bought a pair 2 years ago from a guy from Russia and when they arrived I noticed that they were fake...I was so destroyed and sad, that I wanted to quit this whole "Sneakerthing".
But I didn't and so I checked Ebay as a matter of routine and found a DS Pair in my Size for a steal Price. I will never let them go now haha.

Nonetheless I love collecting, wearing and photographing sneakers with my buddy @_.solereaper!!! Most of my Pics are made and edited by him.
